The February Mission of the Month for Faith Reformed Church is Gideons. The mission of the Gideons is to distribute Scriptures. They place Bibles in hotels, motels, hospitals, convalescent homes, domestic violence shelters, jails, and prisons. They also distribute Scriptures personally to students, prisoners, firefighters, police, and military personnel. They have distributed Bibles in more than 190 countries. Many people have read these Bibles and found Christ as a result of that. To read more about them, check out the Gideons International website at http://www.gideons.org/?HP=USA&LevelID=5&sc_lang=en. They also have a Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Gideons-International/117058854998779. |

The Mission of the Month for January is Words of Hope. Words of Hope
is a ministry of the Reformed Church in America that broadcasts the gospel by
radio worldwide in more than 30 languages.
They have a presence on the Internet and also have a page on Facebook. They have been broadcasting the gospel since
1945. In many countries where they
proclaim the gospel, Christians are persecuted.
They make it possible for people who are seeking information about
Christ to receive that information safely by text messaging. Words of Hope uses modern technology in
creative ways to further the Kingdom of God.
They are succeeding at reaching seekers in the Middle East and much of
Africa. Christianity is growing in those
places. In some of them, it is growing
very rapidly in spite of bitter persecution.
Your support of this ministry will help them continue, and even expand
their work.

On November 5th we are beginning a new ministry called " Faith Builders." This ministry will be made up of volunteers who are willing to donate their time, resources, and energy to help people in our community, whose homes are in need of serious repair and renovation.
We thought we would begin by helping one of our own. A congregation member's home is in need of repair in the inside and clean up on the outside.
You can sign up to help with the work, donate supplies, or both. A sign up sheet can be found in the Building Grounds area. You can contact Tom Elroy or use the Contact Us link on the website for more details.

The roofs over the sanctuary and education wing are beginning to show their age. The deacons have decided that now is the time to begin raising funds to replace them before any damage occurs to our building. In addition, the bell tower, which has been the source of continued water leaks despite many attempts at repair, will be removed.
We hope to begin work next spring. Because of the expense of the project, we are asking the congregation to help us raise $50,000 to fund the replacement. Please consider how you can help.
